A Georgia mom died from her injures after saving her three children from a house fire, according to reports by multiple outlets.
Madison Summerville, 23, jumped into action after a fire engulfed her mobile home in Griffin, 45 miles south of Atlanta, on Feb. 15. Summerville worked to save all three of her children, two sons and a daughter, by busting a window which she was able to let one of sons out of. Witnesses saw the flames a started to help Summerville and her children. One neighbor and a man working at a trash collection site nearby saw the flames and ran over to help, WSB-TV reports.
“The only thing we knew to do was get the babies out,” Bradley Wright, Summerville's neighbor, told WSB-TV. “So my fiancé snatches the door open and she pulls out the first kid, and I performed CPR on him for about ten minutes. I got kids about that age, and the only thing I knew was what any father would do: just step into action and make sure the babies were all right.”
The other man performed CPR on one of Summerville's children. By the time Spalding County Fire Department arrived at the scene, Summerville was in cardiac arrest. Summerville and her children were then airlifted to a local hospital. The following day, Summerville died from her injures. Her two sons were discharged while her daughter still remains in the hospital, according to Atlanta News First.
The Spalding County Fire Department is reportedly investigating what caused the fire.

Madison Summerville saved 3 children and will save more through organ donation
A GoFundMe page was created by Summerville's sister, Chassidy Summerville, to raise to money for her funeral expenses.
"My sister so bravely lost her life trying to save three beautiful children from a house fire that had taken place at home," Chassidy wrote in the GoFundMe post. "She lived a beautiful life even though it was cut short three days after her 23rd birthday."
Chassidy describes her sister as a beautiful person who will continue to save the lives of people even after her death.
"Madison was also an organ donor so not only will she save her three children she will be saving eight more lives," the post reads.
Chassidy wants her sister to be remembered as a bubbly person who liked to make people laugh, but more importantly as a hero that she embodied as she saved her children during the fire.
"[Madison] did not have life insurance so if anyone would like to help us give this beautiful hero an amazing funeral she deserves all is appreciated," the post said.
At the time of publication, the page has surpassed the $20,000 goal.
